Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn Sedgwickwas born on 19th August 1965, is an American actor. Her leading role on the crime drama TNT The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most famous. Sedgwick earned the Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson and also an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. After the end of the seventh season the show was cancelled on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick's role as Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also noteworthy. Sedgwick was nominated for a Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance in Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). She also starred in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald, an educator and family therapist, a venture capitalist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII, a speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick identifies herself as Jewish and has stated that she is a participant in Passover seders.
